This has me wordering. with the war now over, are they really going to bother and still push it as a player?. and with sony and panisonic releasing their 2.0 players im worried that sony is not gonna need to use ps3 as a selling point anymore.yea were getting BD-live this summer, but what about dts-hd? i dont think they want to even bother with giving the ps3 to many features just so they can sell some players.what do you guys think about this? do you think the ps3 is still, and will always be the BDA's main focus?

I doubt sony is going to forget about ps3 majority of blu ray owners use ps3 as their blu ray player and its so future proof with capabilities of firmware downloads if anything ps3 well always be on the top of the list for top bd players

I have told almost every body I know if they want to get BD player right now, get PS3 because it's the best BD player on the marker right now and it's profile 2.0 ready.
I owned Stand alone and sold it and got PS3 instead. ( kind of miss the bravia feature though, cause my TV is Sony Bravia , put the disc in and everything turned on by themselves) Picture quality is identical, I can't believe how fast the disc load. When you hit eject. the disc eject right away, with standalone I gotta stand there and twist my thumbs waiting for it to eject. I actually have to turn and walk away for 5 minutes before I watch any movie. Sometimes I just leave the player on. One of these days, When Stand alone perform like PS3 I will get one for my bedroom. For now PS3 is the way to go. I love the soft touch power and eject button. it's so cool and by the way I'm not even into gaming, may be when there's a cool game coming out I'll try one. I think it would be an obvious smart move on Sony's part to push it as both an awesome game console and an excellent Blu-ray player. It makes much more financial sense than the 360. Instead of buying a 360 and then buying a standalone Blu-ray player, why not buy both in one sweet package? Not to mention that it's much more future proof, both as a gaming console and a Blu-ray player.
Did I mention I love my PS3? ![]() |
