Chicago Tribune's take on LG's dual format player - Blu-ray Forum

I found this a balanced, though somewhat technically lacking article on LG's dual format player in the Chicago Tribune.

They predict the end of support for the losing HD format in 5 years. So one side would have to give up pretty soon to meet that time frame. I'd put my money on Toshiba, after losing Universal end 2007, giving up early - mid 2008.

That 2008 figure is coming up a lot all over the place as a common denominator.

I don't think it's going to take any 5 years to see this all come to an end.

I think it's all going to be done for the most part by 2008 myself.
