Okay, so here it is!
This will serve as a meet-and-greet/local news area for San Diego area members. We can use this to communicate local BD related events and meet-ups!

First order of business:

Sunday, October 14th 2007
Time: TBA
Place: Edwards Cinema Mira Mesa
Event: We own the night

Details: Watch a soon to become BD exclusive movie. Meet and greet blu-ray.com members
We will be gathering prior to the movie at Pat & Oscars and possibly a trip to Best Buy (across the street from the theater) to pick up some new/catalog BD's. Anyone/everyone welcome, hope to see you there.

we'll find out for sure when the showtimes are announced. my vote is for around 5ish for the movie. so maybe 4ish for meeting up.

ok i feel like an ass now. my best friend is going to be bac from deployment in the caribean (tactical coast gaurd) and the only day we can hang out is the FRIGGIN 13TH AT 6 PM god i hate murphys law. so i will have to flake out on the whole lets see we own the night. another day and time would work though.

That's exactly what I was thinking, then I read your post. My schools is really starting to heat up so I guess it's just as well though. 2 tests next week and one paper. The week after that is another midterm and two more papers. Fun, fun!

Where the freak is the Pat and Oscars? Is it on the Albertson's side? I never had a need to look for that sign

They showed a screening of the film at SDSU last night. Huge line up to see it. I'll go, WTF. You only live once. Let's see if we can get a few more peeps, if not, we can delay a week while we organize a definite time.

Can we drive around and pop some HD-DVDers afterwards? It's either that or we go into the store and "accidentally" knock over the HD-DVD display.

ok. damn this all went to hell real quickly, it seems I started the spiral though. most of the people who signed on to hang out have dropped off. so I think this time we have failed. I have failed. damnit. but if any of you want to watch the chargers game tomorrow with my buddy rick and I (and if you aren't cleptomaniacs or crazy) send me a pm or email and maybe we can meet at best buy (while i'm picking up a few titles) and cruise on back to my pad. maybe pop in a blu after the raiders get their asses kicked. (que ''chargers anthem'' by pod)

everyone be safe today. we're being evacuated pretty soon.


edit: thanks jermwhl. we're packed and ready to roll. but it appears its passing us about 3 miles north heading west. so we seem to be safe. but we're still ready.

I didn't pack any blu rays or my ps3s. priorities and all. stupid cats.

Hang in there bro. They have drawn a fire line at Black Mountain Rd. and will fight like hell to keep it from crossing over.
