Thumbs down MOTLEY CRUE and OZZFEST

Ok so this one is going to be pretty negative. I'll start it off by giving WEA lots of jeers for not releasing the audio and video specs for the Motley Crue Carnival of Sins disc and the new Ozzfest disc yet, even on release day for Motley, or if they are not to blame, whatever group of top brass needs a foot in their ass and a slap in the face. To add to all that you don't even get the specs on the back of the case!! So on from that I wanted to take a chance and see how WEA treated the Motley disc. I was holding my breath for maybe PCM, DolbyTrueHD, DTS-HD, DTS-HDMA, nope they gave a potentially azz kickin' freak show a crappy 'standard' Dolby 5.1 640kbps track. What a waste. I imagine the Ozzfest disc will be treated the same way. I just don't get it. You have the resources with Blu-ray to take concerts like this to the next level and you don't utilize them, what garbage. I'm not a big Motley fan, so this one is headed to Ebay. Retorts welcome.

What a crock. Wasn't planning on buying them anyway but it's still ridiculous. Definitely buying the upcoming Korn concert though.

Why were you hoping for DTS-HD AND DTS-HDMA? Do you mean DTS-HD High Res? Technically even Dolby TrueHD is better than DTS-HD High Res.

No, not originally, but sure let's throw that one in too, DTS-HD-Hi Res, which is around 3Mbps, or all out Dolby TrueHD would have been great. My point simply being that I wish they had done more. With all those wonderful audio formats available, they give us the 'basics'.

Be sure to add this to the review section, and Amazon as well.

It's obvious that they purposely avoided putting specs on the box to get people to buy their crap audio package. I won't buy it now. Thanks very much for the info!

Thank-you for helping me save some money.

Thanks for posting this OP. I saw this at Best Buy when I got Twister, and am glad I didn't pick this up.

Well I am a big Motley fan, and I'm pissed. At this point why would you even put out a disc without at least a TrueHD track? Oh well I guess I'll just keep looking at this one on the rack at BB. Maybe if enough people do that the studio will get the message.

Well....how is the video???

I'm a Crue fan so this is a must buy. I know it may not have HD audio but can't you still rock out? I know I could!

Lmao. I saw this on the audio track at BB today when I flipped the case around.

I laughed and promptly hid all the motley crew or ozzfest (whichever was there) behind the pile of LOST SEASON 3 on blu ray.

No one needs to buy these movies with crap tacular audio tracks.

My copy from Amazon will arrive today, I got it for $18.95.

Chances are it will never be re-released with lossless audio, so since I'm a Crue fan and saw a show on this tour, I'll try to be happy with it.

Thanks for posting this. I was able to cancel my order before it shipped. I was willing to endure Ozzy's shirtless jumping jacks to hear some kick ass rock, but without great audio it's just some old guy up there jumping around with his man boobs flopping around.

NOOOOOO!!!!!

I just ordered it yesterday from Amazon. It's too late to cancel the order as it is leaving the warehouse. Seriously, who in blazing hades releases a concert on Blu-ray without lossless sound?!? Jerks.
