Cheating on my girlfriend of 6 years

I have been an Xbox fan since the original Xbox came out. (Never had hate for PS, It’s just that Xbox was the console I chose). That lead me right in to the 360 when it came out, and eventually to the HD DVD add on too.

I learned about this site while researching high def media and became a member. I have to admit, I was a bit of a FUD spreader at first. I got into many an argument about the merits of HD DVD vs. Blu Ray. I wasn’t intentionally spreading FUD. In my case it was more like MUD (Misunderstanding, Uncertainty, and Delusion).

However, when HD DVD folded I was smart enough to look at Blu Ray with an open mind and assess the true merits of both BR and the PS3. I decided to sell off my HD DVD stuff and get a PS3… WOW! All I can say is that I should have trusted everyone on this site more when you kept saying how good the PS3 was.

I still have my Xbox360 and as much as it's my “Cadillac” , my PS3 has become my “Porsche”. I can’t pass buy the thing without lovingly wiping the dust off of it. What is wrong with me. You’re not supposed to have feelings for your equipment???

As someone who always tries to find the best deals on everything, I usually end up with products that are not always cutting edge or top of the line (for example I have an Insignia 1080P 42” instead of going with Sony or Samsung… Saved $800). But, it was so great to come home with the PS3 and know that, not only did a get a great deal, but I also got top of the line. So now I’ve been cheating on my girlfriend (xbox) of 6 years and have found a new love (PS3).

this just furthers my belief that the only people who say bad things about the ps3 either can't afford it, have never played one, or believe the people who say bad things becasue they can't afford one.

A lot of it has to do with this "us" vs. "them" mentality. We see it in Politics, sports, and so many other places. Hell I even had to get over it a bit before deciding to get the PS3. Some of my Xbox friends said, "I can't beleive you wnet to the dark side"... Of course I had a great response for that.
"Hey, I got a better high Deff player and a game machine with wireless connection for $40 less than my 360 elite. Oh and by the way, it's so quite I can only tell it's on by looking at the light on the front of the unit... so "

Then when I got my first BR disc I was even more impressed. Especially when I went to wpe off my first fingerprint with my shirt and found that it left no scratches on the protective coting.

I say bad things about the PS3 all the time, and I have 2 of them! I just want a stand-alone with the capabilities of the PS3 to come out, so I can upgrade. The fact that it needs so much room for ventilation is an issue for me, but I'm more or less happy with my PS3s

The fact that Sony doesn't charge money for their online games is BIG to me (I only play one game, but still... I'd never pay to play online games)

Well think of it this way... There are many ways in which a PS3 is better that a hot chick. (of course there are also many ways in which it's not... )

1. It costs less to maintain.
2. You don't need to give it gifts or compliments to turn it on.
3. It's doesn't mind if 6 of your friends come over and you all play with it at once.
4. It never talks back.
5. It's always beautiful, even at 6:00am
6. When you're done playing with it, you don't have to stay around and snuggle.
7. It wlays does exactly what you tell it to.
8. It's totally okay with you having more than one in the house
9. It's always fun to be around.
10. It actually prefers that you sit around on the couch all day.

the PS3 acually enjoys being around wiis and 360s, it just shows off its superiority over them

You can use that quote for pretty much ANYTHING that fanboys argue about. Xbox, PS3, anything! Just replace PS3 with whatever video game system/item.

The PS3 is the best thing I ever bought. It's unbelievable. I have never owned an XBox but I know its crap. I can built a PC version of it in 3 hours thats just as powerful.

And let's not even mention the 70+% failure rate... there must be some die hard followers for the XCrap to survive that.

Also, I hear Motorstorm has pushed the PS3's ten processors the most; at a whopping 7 to 10%. It's full potential has yet to be touched.

Cheat away my friend. She's way sexier too.. that's the only time I condone cheating

Oh, and this reminded me of another point. The 360 HAS NO TRUE EXCLUSIVES!!!!! Name one title you can't pick up for your PC (and the PC version is better 99% of the time!).

PS3 has many many titles that will never see the day of light on the PC.
