Was Terminator Salvation a huge success as BD/DVD? - Blu-ray Forum

Hopefully yes, because it is a brilliant film. I'm a huge Terminator fan, and can't really deal with the fact this one wasn't a theatrical hit. Tell me the rentals and the sales as BD/DVD were huge, and I'll be happy. Very happy.

In regards to blu-ray purchases, yes. It broke the record for a new release (previously set by Star Trek).

I agree with you that it deserved success. A great cast, and Jonathan Nolan brought a lot to the table as a screenwriter. A big step up from T3.

T3 was an embarrassment to the franshise....t4 is a step up, but still eh...

T2 is the only one I'd want to own... which if I wasn't as broke as hell, I would've already ordered it for $10.

If TS ever drops below $8, I'll think about getting it.

I wasn't very impressed by it either. It would have been great if it focused more on Marcus and Kyle Reese, the rest of it seemed a little bland.

I love Terminators I & II, even III (to some extent), but Salvation did hardly anything for me with the exception of the visuals. I'm also a huge fan of Bale, but he did not fit the role of Connor very well, imo.

I'm a huge fan of Christian Bale... haven't seen this movie but I've never really been into the Terminator movies. Is it necessary to be up on the prequels in order to understand this movie? Is it worth a blind buy?
