Default Audio Tower, Audio Cabinet

Ok, I don't know if the world has gone mad or what, but I've been looking for Audio Towers, and something thats suppose to cost about 80 bucks is costing over 9000!!! Ok no not 9000 but its around 200-300 for a freaking standard looking audio tower.

Anyone know a good site that sells them for cheap and affordable?
My max height range is 25 inches to 38 inches.

$225 dollars seriously???

One Ninety Nine are you out of your mind??

Anyhow, these are examples of what I'm looking for.

Try these sites. They may be a bit cheaper.

Edit: These two from Amazon marketplace may be the cheapest.

If you like this look, Lowe's sells the parts to make something very similar. A set of legs(4) cost around $6 and come in 8, 12 and I believe 16 inch lengths. You can also get the shelves, but I'm not sure of the price. Look in the storage and shelving section.

This is a box of legs.

I built this with them, but like I said they have a few different sized shelves that would definitely work for you. Maybe one day I'll find the time to finally paint mine.

I spent less than $30 on the legs. The drawer handles were free but shouldn't be more than $10. One set of drawer slides(free) would cost around $20.One sheet of birch plywood(free) about $40. A roll of birch veneer(not free ) cost me about $6. And a piece of molding(free) $20 at most.

All together it would have cost around $120 to build, but I used left-overs from other jobs and am only out of pocket for about $40. Also I'm not a very organized person, so those drawers come in handy for remotes, cables and receipt/warranty info that would normally go missing.

Stop being so cheap That first stand you were looking at is made out of american grown kiln dried solid hard wood, not mdf or particle board. It has a fine furniture grade build & will last forever ( you get what you pay for). If you want cheaper, try sauder.com item # 400831 ($87.00). You can build your own stand similar to the archetype 3.0 on salamanderdesigns.com for less than $60.00. You'd need about 4 mdf boards, 4 all thread rods, nuts & washers, all available at Home Depot or Lowe's.

Does Lowe's sell anything that can help me make this? This one is about 48 inches high. I like the price for this, butttt its too tall. I'm looking for one with a max height of 39 inches.

You can make this style tower any height you want. All parts can be bought at Lowe's or Home Depot.

I have been searching for a decent TV stand lately, as well. Sadly, I can't find ANYTHING worth looking at for <$200--and sadly, that's not even that nice.

Have you checked out IKEA? They have some really nice ones there.

TV stands are actually easier and more affordable to look for. I've seen a few cool ones I liked, but I can't use them anymore because I already have my TV on the wall.

Looks like I will check Lowe's or Home Depot later today. I ordered something at walmartonline, but it costed too much for delivery so I cancelled it.
