Default Home Media Magazine: "Color Me Blu; The Negative Hype Is Overblown"

A good read:

http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/ques...p?startpage=18

Quote:
Let's look at some of the negative vibe:
  • "The quality of DVD is good enough." – That statement speaks to the strength of DVD more than to a weakness of Blu-ray. The fact that Blu-ray explores the higher end of the visual spectrum ... offers something rich to those who demand this level of quality today and those who will in the future. ...
  • "Of the 30% of U.S. households with HDTVs, only slightly more than half receive HD content from their TV service providers." – While this may indicate that the demand for pure high-def is only moderate today, the statistic suggests an opportunity, not a barrier. ...
The sky's the limit, and we know what color the sky is.

YIKES!! I just opened that up at work!

Here's a disclaimer for the rest of you: Make sure no one is around. The opposing page has some adult material on it (private bits are covered but it's not obvious at first glance).

I'll have to read that one at home.

I loved that article. It was a great read indeed. I was really glad to read that, cause i have been seeing so much negative hype lately.

Good article; felt a bit PR-ish though. In any case, it's loads better than the wishy washy pieces that the HMM editor Stephanie Prange writes.
