Default When & Where can we see 300 sales #'s?

I have a bet with a friend of mine who is a HD DVD fanboy. I bet him $20 that 300 blu-ray will outsell 300 HD DVD. So pretty much free money. Just want to know when I can show him a link and rub it in his face.

umm... there are few different ways. We can't really tell movie by movie (unless somebody else knows how) but at the end of every week we get the nielsen scan numbers--really, relatively speaking, you've already won. All you have to do is go to Amazon.com and check the best sellers under DVD. You'll see that 300 BD is out selling 300 HDDVD. So relative to Amazon, you're a winner.

We won't get absolutes, but on August 10 the pre-orders and first week sales results will show up in the Nielsen numbers published in Home Media Magazine.

Normalized, it will be:

300 (Blu-ray): 100
300 (HD DVD): X

Let the speculation of the value of X (X <= 100) commence.

So does that Home Media Magazine have a website to look up those neilson numbers? I'll look up those #'s for sure. Not just to win my bet, but to see how bad were crushing HD-DEAD.

We won't see the influence of 300 in this week's numbers. Those will for sales ending last Sunday (July 29).

We have to wait until next week's numbers.

Yes, the current issue is seen on the home page Home Media Magazine

The direct link is of the form:

http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/questex/hom072907/

homMMDDYY

So, the next issue should appear sometime Friday afternoon and be:

http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/questex/hom080507/

But, it has stats ending the PREVIOUS week. So the next issue will be for sales ending July 29.

I'm not sure, but I have called 4 Targets in my city and ALL of them are sold out of the Blu-Ray version. After they say that they have all said "We have quite a few HD-DVD copies left."

Haha! :P @ HD-DVD.

BD "tonight we dine on HDDVD". obviously BD will sell more than HDDVD. do you think it will beat Departed, or Casino Royale's record as being the highest sold high definition films.

This is highly debated but on previous threads i have been the only one sticking to this prediction. I believe it will. 300 has been sold out at alomost three stores in Dade and Broward County Florida.
