I'm looking forward to some Black & White films. However:
Considering the amount of people complaining about buying their WIDESCREEN TVs only to have some of their screen real estate be taken up by BLACK BARS. Considering the amount of people complaining about buying their HDTVs for PQ only to have some films on BD released with FILM GRAIN. The odds of many of these people appreciating BLACK AND WHITE films instead of complaining how they bought a COLOR TV and are not getting their money's worth with a BLACK & WHITE FILM, might be small... at least at this time. ~Alan |

Put me down for CITIZEN KANE as well. Given how pioneering Greg Tolland's cinematography was on that film, it would definitely be a B&W movie that deserves to be on Blu-Ray.
Also looking forward to CASABLANCA and METROPOLIS on Blu, and THE THIRD MAN is one Criterion title on Blu I want to get. Those Vienna sewers and Harry Lime's reveal are going to look awesome at 1080p. |
