Default Okay, a challenge for anyone worthy...

I just bought a PS3 and this is my receiver:

http://reviews.cnet.com/av-receivers...-20016428.html

My questions are:

1. When I run the PS3 setup, it asks if my audio an video is set up via HDMI. The TV and PS3 are, but the receiver is connected via Optical Cable Cord. Do I just say "yes" to the first question and let it go from there, or do I need to sepcify the audio coming from ODC?

2. It automatically checks the two boxes listed as PCM (I think, but I saw in another thread this is the only way the PS3 produces or reads the sound) so I guess I am good there. In other words, I do not need to check off DTS, etc...

3. Can I just hook up my reciever via ODC and the PS3 to the TV via HDMI cable and be set? Will the PS3 optimize itself?

4. Here is the real big question...With my receiver, I get confused with all of the sound options. "Normal Souround" "Simulated Suround", "Auto Decoding", and I have ZERO idea how to optimize my receiver. Sound Fields, A, B, or C, Multi Channel, etc. It's all Japanese to me. If anyone dares, I would like them to glance at my owners manuel and make any suggestions to me. And while I am a 35 year old Teacher, just asume I am a 13 year old Chinaman with no idea what any of this means, lol.

Thanks to anyone willing to take all of this on...
