Default Taking the PS3 to the cottage

I will be going to the cottage this weekend for a week and I wanted to take the PS3 for some games on those raniy days. My question is what will happen when I plug the PS3 into the TV at the cottage, which I believe is a SD tv when at home it is plugged into a 1080P TV? Do I have to make any chenges to the video output before I unplug it from home? Also at home it is connected with an HDMI and at the cottage I will most likely have to connect it with component cables. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

cottages? i thought those went extinct in the 1700s?

Your SDTV has component??? i think you mean composite???

assuming its composite simply hook every thing up in your cottage then hold down the "on" button for about 10 seconds, this should restore the display settings, then you are good to go.

just plug it back into your HDTV at home via HDMI and it should detect it immediately
.

Just for the recored component cables are blue, green, and red, compositie cables are red, yellow, and white.

Go into settings on the PS3 menu and unclick 1080 and click on 480P. You should be set. Be prepared it will not have the same gloss as you are used to.

The TV is new and it has component input. So I assume what you said for composite cables would be the same.
When I reset the video by holding down the power button I wont loose all my settings and pictures and everything on the HDD?

no you won't lose any of your other settings or anything on your HDD.

Default settins should be to composite, so I don't know how this will work with component. Sorry, if i can't help you Ive never dealt with componeonte.

I had a Toshiba 29" SDTV that had component hookups. Had a great picture for an SDTV, had the xbox hooked up for games and dvd's. Just have to be sure it's set to 480i and 4:3. 480p or above will not work on an SDTV.
