I didnt know Kratos could act?! - Blu-ray Forum

Dont know if this is a repost, if it is a mod can merge. Seems our godly, head decapitating friend is moving from Greece to Hollywood. Early news on the God Of War Movie. I'm thinking Gerold Butler(300) to play Kratos.

what do you guys think.

Of course, it takes a lot less time to produce garbage, which is how most movies based on video games end up. It'd be a damn shame to have that happen to a "God of War" movie; we're talking about some of the finest titles in history, here. And by the way, which actor would make for a good Kratos...? That role is essential.

Please don't put Kratos on the big screen. They'll only just water the violence and gore down just like the Mortal Kombat movies. But then again, maybe Vin Deisel if he grew a beard would be a good Kratos.

I think it would be great! I for some reason have always loved the greek mythology type stuff, so im all about this movie. That actor would be a pretty good fit also.. or even better, find a no named person for the role.

A film adaptation was announced in 2005.[11] Creator David Jaffe confirmed that a completed script had been penned by David Self and would be sending it out to an unspecified "huge-name director." Jaffe also expressed interest in seeing actor Djimon Hounsou in the role of the protagonist, Kratos. "You'd have to get past the fact that Djimon is African and Kratos is Greek, but in terms of the way he looks and his acting ability and his physique — I can't think of a better choice."[12]

from wiki, i agree. put some makeup on Djimon and he would be an awesome Kratos, hes got the voice too.

No matter who they pick they are going to have to paint white, even a white guy, so why not use an african if he fits the part very well.

whoever they pick, he needs to be extremely talented.

this role isn't lara croft, it isn't hitman, it isn't even somebody like Master Chief. this is kratos, he is constantly angry, extremely athletic, only yells at things and is very violent. if an actor cannot pull this off (which few can) Kratos will come off very cheesey and fake.

I was watching a World's Strongest Man competition from like 1997. Magnus Samuelson broke his (Nathan Jones) arm in an arm wrestling competition.
