Regrettably, The New World - The Extended Cut, which is slated for an October 14 DVD release by Warner Home Video, will not be coming out on Blu-ray.

I sent a message to Warner Bros Home Video division a bit ago complaining about this; I hope other TNW fans will do the same.

I don't get Warner's they allow Troy and Alexander extended cuts to debut on standard and HD, but not for this come on - boo Warner's, wake up here!

Is New Line releasing this DVD or is Warner? Warner has it listed on their site, but Amazon says New Line is releasing it. Also, I'm relatively certain New Line released the film theatrically

The NLHV website says nothing of the extended cut, yet the theatrical release of The New World does appear to have been released by New Line. Peculiar
