Does anyone know if they will release this version anytime soon, if at all? I saw both versions on DVD and the extended version was so much better. I don't want to buy the BD yet just in case the other version is coming.

A Silver Surfer movie is a cert, one of the reasons we don't see Galactus in the 2nd movie, is that they didn't want to decide what he'd look like since the director of the Silver Surfer movie will obviously have their own take on the material. Not that many directors have a vision anymore...

It came out right around the time FF2 hit theatres in the US, although I think Japan got it with the original release on DVD as I think that's why I never bought the original DVD - I knew that we'd get it here eventually.

It's no where near as much or as important as LOTR extended edtion extra footage. But the deleted screnes are part of the movie instead of just being extras.
And yes, Fox has only released the theatrical version on Blu so far. I've been trying to find a site that lists the differences, but so far, I've been unsuccessful |

To me, I hated the first one. Thought the 2nd one was good. Have to say it was better any of the comic book movies lately. X3, Spidey 3, Ghost Rider, Superman.
