It looks like the Carnival of Souls upgrade is in the works!

Any idea who has the UK rights? Network did the last DVD release.

Yes! Finally!

I love Carnival of Souls so much that a couple of years ago I made a music video for a song my friend wrote (instrumental electronic music) using nothing but footage from the film. I'm sharing it below, in case anyone's interested. The editing could be better, but you can't deny the power of the film's images. Don't watch the video if you haven't seen the film because it contains spoilers (kinda).

Me too!!! I watched it last year at the New Beverly Cinema. The first time I had ever fallen asleep in a movie theater.

Before that, I watched Curse of the Demon aka Night of the Demon which I enjoyed more.

Possibly the creepiest movie ever made. And by "creepy" I refer to a subtly disturbing dread that slowly takes hold of you...no gore, no screams...just skin-crawling creepiness.

This was the most expensive DVD that I ever bought, In fact, at about $60.00CDN back in the day, this would be the single most expensive movie that I ever purchased on disc(though I recall 2 discs in the set...if my memory is correct).

I will repurchase it on BD without a moment of hesitation.

Very happy to hear the new of this forthcoming release. It will be good to retire the Criterion DVD of this film.
