Hello,
Recently I was able to purchase a PS3 and a small Sharp Aquos LCD (capable of up to 1080i). Movies look great, but I some displays in the store that blew my mind! I was at a Sony outlet store today. I was checking out a new audio system when I noticed they had Transformers playing on the panel in front of me. The picture was extremely clear and didn't look like a "movie" but more like "live action" it was so clear! I have the movie at home but it doesn't look anything like what I saw at the Sony store. Best Buy also has a Samsung blu-ray setup that plays clips from Pirates of the Caribbean and it too looked like live action. It's hard to explain, but I'm sure you blu-ray fanatics must know what I'm talking about. My question is, is this the difference between 1080i and 1080p that makes these movies look so "real"? |
