Amazon shipping in yellow envelopes. - Blu-ray Forum

Has anyone else noticed that Amazon is shipping a bunch of their BDs in yellow envelopes rather than their standard cardboard box? I just got my Pirates box set in the mail and the box was totally crushed. Rather annoying as one of my favorite things about ordering from Amazon was how their boxes / shrink wrap really protected the Blu-rays. Oh well..

Ive gotten a few in the envelope in the past. Depends on the item and the type of shipping they use.

thanks for the info, no ordering movies from amazon for me

one thread showed how they over packaged, and this one underpackaged

il stick with bestbuy and there consistant packaging

Thats an educated move

but yea they have done it randomly in the past, but anything I have gotten via the UPS has been in a box

Just e-mail Amazon and they'll send out a replacement. They will usually overnight it to you.

Yea I did. They're good about replacements. I have everything shipped Prime and I've never gotten anything other than boxes up to this point.

I just got my first of 3 installment of my 30-film order. 8 movies, in a cardboard box with air bags. None appear damaged.

As long as you order more than one movie, it won't come in a padded envelope.

I cant always afford more than one haha...luckily I haven't had any damaged cases yet, those all come from stupid Best Buy.

Wrong. I ordered Speed Racer and Made of honor..they came in a yellow envelope

They've been using the yellow envelopes to ship my Blus for a while now. Haven't gotten a box in many months.

I've never gotten any of them shipped in envelopes, but there's always a first time. I wonder it this is a regional thing? I live in the Mid-atlantic area and have Prime.

Just so people realize, these are the yellow padded envelopes, and not just a regular big yellow envelope. Someone PM'ed me about that. Typically the padding is enough to make sure the BD or DVD doesnt get cracked.
