Default Fringe Season 2 Menu Glitch?

I apologize if there is already a Fringe Season 2 thread. I did a search and all I got was Review and Spoiler/Theory threads for the third season.

Just put the first disc in and noticed two things. My PS3 didn't save the stopping point from last week, probably because of the firmware update. Second, I noticed the menu glitched a bit, which I don't remember happening before the firmware update. It's more of a sound glitch, as the Fringe theme seems to skip for the first two to three seconds. Has anybody else noticed this or this simply an issue with my disc that only affected the menu and not the actual content (as far as I've seen, still have two episodes left on the disc)?

I just finished the first disc and didn't notice any problems. I'm using an older PS3 and I recently updated the firmware on mine back in August, so it should have the latest firmware. What kind of PS3 do you have?

you don't have the latest firmware. the ps3 is now at 3.50 and it was just released within the last week or so. it gave the ps3 3D capabilities and some people have said that they lost their ability to bitstream HD audio of course this only affects folks with the ps3 slim. I have the ps3 slim and have suffered none of the side effects thus far. I do plan on getting the Fringe season II and will report back to this post if i am having any menu problems

jeez, this newest "update" seems to do nothing but cause problems.
i still haven't updated my system, and won't for quite some time. every time i read about another issue (however small) that seems to maybe have a connection to the system update, i get real

Just checked for you, and no problems on my end. I'm on a launch 60 gig PS3 with the latest firmware.

About the system saving your spot, I hate that feature, so I always manually hit the eject button instead of stopping via Triangle. Maybe you accidentally did that?

As far as it saving your spot, it was the firmware that cleared that. I noticed that when I put in a disc from Chuck: Season Three and it started over on that disc. It wasn't a big deal though since I knew what episode I was on anyways. I actually like that I don't have to choose the episode all the time.

The reason I hated it was because if I finished a movie and the credits started, that's where it would start the next time...the credits. I'll stick to ejecting via the button, lol.

Yeah, I don't really care for that for movies. I like it for TV shows though, which is what I actually meant.

Yeah, that's cool. They have SeasonPlay for some TV shows, which is kind of better.
