Jack Black's Comedic "Bourne" Film - Blu-ray Forum

Described as a comedic take on "The Bourne Identity", the story sees Black as an American who finds himself washed up the shores of Cuba with no idea of who he is and how he got there.

He comes to the conclusion that he must be a superspy, though in reality he is far from one.

Jack Black and "Kung Fu Panda" writers Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger are re-teaming for an untitled live-action action comedy at Universal Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.

Rented it on DVD. I think we watched about 5 minutes before I couldn't take anymore. And I've been a huge fan of Jack Black since "the Jackal". Bring on the spawl, baby!

However, he definitely redeemed himself in "Tropic Thunder", so I dunno.

While I've liked Jack Black in some of his roles, he does not draw me to a movie at all. But then again, neither does Will Ferrell and people love both of them. Maybe I'm just in the minority.

I like Jack Black, by far the best movie I've seen him in it Tenacious D: Pick of Destiny

Jack Black movies are very hit and miss. When he's good, he's real good (School Of Rock, Orange County, Kung Fu Panda). But when it's bad, it's real bad (Envy, Be Kind Rewind).

Anyways, the premise to this one sounds really funny, so we will have to see....

It does sound like it will be good but I have to agree with mnx12.. Jack Black's movies really are hit or miss. A lot of people liked Nacho Libre but I never cared for it. I also didn't care for Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny as much as I thought I would. So for this Bourne Comedy, I'll reserve my judgement.

I havent seen Tropic Thunder yet, and Be Kind; Rewind has no appeal to me. I'll probably give this one a shot though.
