Paramount strikes again: Jack Ryan HD-DVDs not so "special"

It's being reported that Paramount has reannounced the "The Jack Ryan Collection" with a release date of March 25th.

You probably remember that the original release was recalled when it was discovered that the special features listed on the packaging were not on the discs. In true Paramount style, the editions coming on March 25th will no longer be "Special Collector's Edition" versions. It looks like no new special features will be included on any of the discs. Basically Paramount will be selling the same recalled discs with new packaging.

Obviously, Paramount is dumping these standard versions on consumers before they announce support for Blu-ray.

I love these movies and I can't wait until the Blu-ray versions eventually come out. By then I hope they are true "Special Collector's Edition" versions.
