Talking Hats off to Netflix

Netflix is shipping (3) new releases to me today:

Indiana Jones/Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
War, Inc.
Eastern Promises.

I suppose they will get held up in the mail due to Columbus Day, but at least I have something to justify the $1 increase.

Perhaps I just have regional issues but Netflix's Blu Ray performance to date has been absolutely pathetic. While the $1 isnt a big deal it is a bit annoying with the poor service to date.

Yea I have to agree. It must be where I live but sometimes my account will have a new release as available but they skip it and give me an older title down my list. I only keep about 5 or 6 titles in my queue also. I just don't get it.

Somehow I also got Kingdom of the Crystal Skull shipping today also.

What I don't get is why I've had Batman Begins in my Queue since July and still no sign of it!

I think they underestimated the demand for BB.

Netflix has done an excellent job so far for me. All of my Blu-rays on my queue are available now, with the exception of Beetlejuice, which has a long wait.

Well I smack down Netflix and they have Indy Jones heading my way. I was planning on hitting Blockbuster Tuesday morning because I didnt want to wait another month before watching it.

So i don't have netflix in Canada but I used to have it in the US. Let me ask , is it 1$ / title or just 1$ more for your payment / month ?

$1 more per month. You would see MUCH more complaining (justifiably so) if it were $1/title.

I also have Indy headed out to me. I have had some of the same bad experiences, but I usually try to time it right with new releases so I don't have to wait forever.

I must be lucky because I have been with Netflix for 6 years and have never ever had any title delayed or any sort of wait in the queue, even Blu-Ray titles released that week. I'll gladly pay the $1.

Only title I have not gotten right away was The Happening... it says Very Long Wait for that one.

+1 It's totally worth as long as the service for Blu-rays is as consistent as their service with DVD's (I.E. availablity).

I have Indy coming also. They must have ordered a ton of them!

I have had Vantage Point as a "very long wait" since the day it was released. bummer.
