Default Help buying a set up

I'm looking for something to go with my ps3

right now i have a 56" samsung lcd 1080p

and a 80 gb ps3 using hdmi

I have cables ran already thru the walls above both sides of my couch to hook the little speakers too.

I'd like the 5 speaker set up

Should i buy a bundled set or should i buy everything seperate?

And what is everything i will need...cables n all....i have a hdmi...and ill probably need some optical cables or something...

Im only looking to spend 400 or 500 at the most for the set up.

Any help is appreciated thanks...im trying to shop best buy because i have a gift card for there..

yes thats why i am asking here...because its a waste of time to ask anyone at best buy usually...

Thanks i appreciate your help.

with the amount you've quoted us, id suggest to prioritize on purchasing your front soundstage, meaning LR and center speaker. then work from there.

Well, from the sound of things, you have a great tv and one of the best BD players. You should definitely buy separate pieces. I'd take it slow and add a few things at a time. If you want to be future-proof, I'd suggest looking into getting a receiver that can decode the new audio codecs (DTS-HD MA and Dolby TrueHD). As for cables... HDMI should, in most cases, be all that you need! Here's a link to member Driver King's "My recommended setup for Home Theater Virgins:"
