Default Would you buy/use a PS3 disc changer?

Would you buy/use a disc changer for the PS3?

Say a 6 disc changer where you put in 6 BD games, movies, DVDs, or PS2 games and it would change them automatically just like a CD disc changer would.

Thoughts?

I wouldn't because I like to keep all of my BDs, DVDs, CDs, etc. nice and neat in the cases. I only have 1 of each out at a time, anyway.

I'd consider it, since I would like to have Singstar ready-to-go at all times for convenience.

Otherwise, I too like to keep all my discs in their cases.

I would for seasons of TV shows. That way I can do a marathon of shows without having to get up to constantly change the disk. It's also good for trilogies, like Die Hard, Matrix, etc. For games, if they have multiple Blu-ray disk games, I'm going to be worried. It also would take many days to get to the point of having to change a game that it wouldn't be worth it for games.

It would be great for music to be run through a stereo especially if it could change disks quickly and you could do an entire collection shuffle. That way you could jump around all the disks in the system during a party or long night of listening to music.

For games, I know I like to bounce around 2-4 games at a time. I was just thinking tonight that it would be nice to be able to just pick another slot rather then dealing with changing the discs. Yes its semi lazy lol but the reasoning is still there

Same here plus it would be a really lazy thing to do plus you'll have to change the discs selection in the changer anyways so it does not even help in the "no need to move from your seat" department unless you could load 500 discs or something.

I wouldn't because I've had CD players in the past that had multi-disc changers and they always seem to break a lot quicker and have more issues with scratched disc, etc. then single disc players.

I can only watch one movie or play one game at a time. So I don't see a relevant point in it. However I didn't even know they made something like that for the PS3.

I most definately would buy it I already have the 400 DVD changer. It sure helps with Saving Space, I agree using a changer for Games is a little silly, but then again, If I could save up all of the space taken up by all of the PS games I have, I would really think about it.

In my opinion 6-disc changers suck and scratch discs eventually. The cartridge mechanism. Now the big 200-300 disc dvd carousel units sony has I have heard good things about but I still prefer to keep em in the case they came in.

Heck yeah I think it is a great idea.I think that is a major draw for those who put every thing on their hard drives.

I have two Sony 400 Disc DVD changers and I love them. I have Pronto remotes with the covers on the screen, and you touch the DVD you want and it automatically changes. It's pretty awesome. So yeah I would get a PS3 changer in a heartbeat.

I end up playing the PSN games probably more than I should just because they're instantly available. So yeah, I'd like one but I'd want a larger capacity than 6.

I don't think I could ever justify the price for the needless convenience. I run a projector and basically sit under the PS3 so I barely have to move to switch discs already.

Would rather put the money towards another movie
