$1.00 Blu-ray Rentals - Blu-ray Forum

I was grocery shopping today and visited A Redbox location in San Francisco bay area. The kiosk had prince caspian and hancock on blu. I did rent Hancock after netflix has it on very long wait since release date. $1.09 including tax per day. Not bad!!!

San Mateo. this redbox location is actually off of hwy 92 E hesperian blvd. food maxx.

has anyone else noticed blu's at other locations in bay area?

Thats pretty sweet. I still need to check out my Redbox especially since its in the store I work at.

I saw 300 in a Walmart Redbox location in Nashville.

Still no blu-rays in the Redboxes in my area.

I spoke to a redbox rep asking when we would be getting blu in the redbox's... i was basically told they are considering starting that in some areas but time will tell if it becomes widespread..

I just checked out the BD selection on the on-line library catalog for the SW Chicago suburbs. If I just type in blu-ray for keyword, I get about 85 results. About half of the titles I've heard of. Some good ones like Wall-e, Ratatouille, Godfather, Iron Man, Golden Compass, Indiana Jones 4, and Planet Earth.

I would recommend looking at your library's on-line catalog.

San Diego walmarts... 1 on murphy canyon and another on college ave near lemongrove had blu-rays including Wall E and other titles. (I rented Wall E on thanksgiving).

Redbox is great if you go near them often. IMO The best way to do it is to go on a Saturday morning and then return it sunday night before 9pm. but that's my 2 cents.
