Poll- Help me choose my next game! - Blu-ray Forum

Best Buy is having a sale next week on Motorstorm PR and Bioshock for $40.

Which one should I get?

I have Fallout 3, Midnight Club, Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, Dead Space, etc... I'm only choosing between these two games, as they are on sale for $40.

I picked up Bioshock last week, and I gotta say I have thus far been very disappointed with this game.
I don't know why it was so popular last/this year but I wouldn't recommend it to anybody.

Of course, the game is very popular so it's obvious that my opinion is in the minority.

(Haven't played Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, but I voted for it because it does look very fun, I'll be getting it sometime as well)

you shouldn't even need to have this thread. top ten of this gen, or a sequel to an ok racing series....

i love motorstorm, and bioshock is a year old port.. so this thread easily needs to be created.

I have a better idea. Buy 2 copies of The Dark Knight Blu-ray and give 1 to charity. You'll feel good for doing it and the person who gets the Blu-ray will be your best friend forever.

P.S. Those 2 games suck!!

Having played through Bioshock on the PC, I have to say it is absolutely a must buy game. It was my favorite game of 2007, and I typically loathe playing games on PC.

If you like first-person shooters with original imaginative stories, cinematic presentations, great level designs, and innovative weapons, then you need to experience Bioshock. It's right up there with Half-Life 1 & 2 in terms of showing what is possible when a well written original story drives a shooter.

Motorstorm Pacific Rift is a great game and as an added bonus, supports screenshots.

it depends on who you are. bioshock is an amazing game, but if you only think you'll play it once through, then just rent it. it really doesn't take that long to beat (15-20 hours for me, obviously longer if you go after all the trophies

but still more than enough time to tackle in 2 weeks if you are serious and on winter break

).

motorstorm PR has more replay potential IMO, but is less epic of a game. $40 is probably a great price for both of them.

Motorstorm: Pacific Rift by far the graphics are insane and the online is really fun not to mention it now has split screen so you know its the perfect offroad racer out there.

bioshock is pretty short and boring also because of the lack of co-op it has pretty much zero replay value so go with Motorstorm: Pacific Rift.
