Default Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist

Anyone see this yet?

It's your typical highschooler's movie, injected with every stereotype known to man, with supposedly quirky personalities. Your usual pop-punk influenced kiddycore stuff that feeds on the latest trend, fattened with feel-good music, "Straight Edge", a Jesus Christ that smokes, and gay people in a pathetic attempt at being culture-savvy. Add in a promiscuous girl with low self-asteem and a guy who appears to be 12 years-old, and you have this film. I hope 'Juno' isn't anything like this, as I've not seen it yet..

I am sure it's good for what it is, but it was really hard to get past the filmmakers' attempts at recreating youth culture.

"Wow! Your dad owns Electricy Lady Land! Now come here and let me finger you!"

And nevermind about her being Jewish or Straight Edge. She's young and pretty.. live free, duuuude!

Anyway, catch a good movie about youth with Dazed and Confused, Pump Up the Volume or Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

I know people that liked this movie, though they are younger than I. Sadly movies since the mid-90s have been half ass in film makers atte,pt to make them. Not all films but a lot. Countless and pointless sequels shooting straight to dvd release, not many fresh ideas, and a ton of movies with the cast from One Tree Hill in movies just as bad as the TV series. Then you have TV with all thee really bad reality shows...

Juno is horrible. Not at all how "teens" talk either. I have never heard anyone say "shut your freaking gob!". Stupid movie.

That's exactly what Juno is like. These movies do nothing but remind me of the kids that claim to love horrible bands like OK GO, The Strokes, and The Hives, but they liked them before they sold out and became popular, etc.

Do they rock their "XXX, the bond we share, Straight Edge" shirts? That would be really funny.

Cera's a great actor, but I want to see it because of Kat Dennings.

I refuse to see this for the following reasons

1) It looks like a teen movie, which I dislike
2) Cera is an idiot
3) The whole premisise looks boring

I don't know why Michael Cera would be an idiot... but the movie does suck.

I liked Juno, Superbad, and Arrested Development.

Is it actually bad? Everyone say it is sounds like they have a bias towards the kind of movie it is.

Not very good really. I like Juno alot, but this was a severe disappointment. The only good scene in the movie was a gross out scene and calling it good is pushing it.

I watched it a couple days ago so it's still fresh in my memory. It's just a typical teenage movie. It's got a couple funny parts, one just completely horrificly wrong part, teenage angst, love gone wrong, manipulative women. If I was the target age I might have liked it better, but with an open mind it's not that bad of a movie. There are plenty of 80s movies that are just as bad as this if not worse that my contemporaries celebrate as the be all and end all of cinema. If you are a fan of the current teen/tween genre, then this will be right up your alley, if not, then avoid it.
