Received it in the post this morning from Sony. Unfortunately it was a DVD, but that doesn't matter. It is the best movie I have seen in a long, long time. The characters are brilliant, Michael Cera and Kat Dennings are really very good, and the script was also wonderful.

It's difficult to explain why I like the movie so much, but having been through a lot of what they go through in their

it's awesome. It actually reminds me a lot of Skins on E4, but a bit more grown-up!

Anyway, I know a lot of people didn't like it (though I don't get why), but for those that do, this is the thread for you!

+1 this movie was a good movie and surpizingly funny, wasnt knowing what to think of this movie since i hated Juno but i thought i was one of the best of 08!

I liked it too but maybe not as much as you did Max lol. It was funny though. But I wouldn't say it was as good as Superbad.

I don't think I would like this movie, sounds a lot like Juno and I was forced to watch that with my girlfriend. I liked the other Michael Cera Sony movie though (Superbad), one of my favorite movies ever.

If you go into the movie expecting it to be a comedy a la Superbad you will be very disappointed. Just watch it for what it is. I wouldn't class this as a comedy really, more romcom, but that isn't necessarily bad in this case.

Trust me if you went to high school and did any of the stuff they do, you will love this movie. It reminds me of when I was in sixth form before college getting over the b!tch ex-gf, meeting my current gf, going out all night, getting wasted looking for secret/underground gigs. I just wish I could still do it!

+1 i loved superbad, but this movie aint no superbad its a more of a love story than a comedy, but still a good movie

I thought this movie was great. Interesting concept. I disagree in everyone looking two demensional. I like a lot of Michael Cera's work. Superbad, Nick & Norah, Juno, etc. I cannot wait for The Year One with Jack Black.

Love the movie because the comedy wasn't forced and the chemistry was great between characters. Rented it but want to buy it for sure.

Didn't wind up seeing it but heard it was pretty bland. Michael Cera is gonna get typecasted REALLY soon unless he steers clear of the romantic comedies, he's always the "sweet guy", even somewhat in Superbad, but at least he was still funny in it as he was pretty much the exact opposite of Seth (Jonah Hill).

He's dynamite on Arrested Development.
