Default Who else can't wait to listen to the epic FFXIII soundtrack?

I was just listening to the FFX OST, and Hamauzu is absolutely awesome. I would even go as far as to say he is better than Uematsu on FFX and approaching the level of FFVI/VIII goodness.

Does anybody else think that after the failure that was Sakimoto's FFXII composition we will hear a really epic FFXIII soundtrack that will win us all back?

I think I'm probably the only one that's enjoyed all the sound tracks from VII on.

Yeah, soundtracks are one of the things that really make a jRPG for me. You really need the music to get into the mood of the story.

From what I've listened to so far, I'm really really looking forward to the OST for FF 13. Already, there are a couple familiar melodies, which FF 12 lacked. I'm curious on what situation the track for the first and second trailer released will be used for.

Awesome stuff!

I can play Zanarkand, Eyes on Me, Aerith's Theme, and Terra! Terra is probably the most difficult...

I don't think my old piano teacher had FF in mind when she was training me.

FFVIII has easily got the best soundtrack by a long way, too. The range and power that Uematsu uses is amazing, then it is FFVI, then FFX to round out my top 3.

FFVIII - Force your way (boss theme)

FFVIII - Man with the machine gun
[Show spoiler](Laguna's dream sequence battle theme)

FFVIII - Maybe I'm a Lion My personal favourite!

Started at age 4, it was compulsory for me to learn an instrument in my primary school, but my parents started me off earlier.

I don't play as much now, but it's like riding a bike, just takes me a bit of time to get into the swing of things.

I connect those songs to my childhood so possible I give them more credit...
When the general manager calls my cell I have the kefka theme go off... and everyone just starts laughing..

more thinking the cecil theme.. that song was so stuck in my head that I use to hum that every day at the end of college waiting for a ride home.. that was my favorite hum.. on such a cold desolate night the midnight fires burning in the sky with a absence of all life... still hearts beating in the air...

The sound of clicking dancing across the wind.. leaves us only one thing.. the song... something so simple yet so pure...

X-2 Zanarkand is prety amazing.
I have all the soundtracks from 4-12, and X-2, Tactics, Tactics Advance, Tactics A2, Crisis Core...and X-2 International. Probably more but I'm drawing a blank here at work.
Hitoshi Sakimoto did 12, the Tactics series, and another classic: Vagrant Story. I prefer him to Uematsu 9 times out of 10. The soundtrack to 12 was...unbelievably remarkable! I'll still take Mitsuda (Chrono Cross/Trigger, Xenogears/Xenosaga I, Soma Bringer, etc.) any day though.
