Default PlayStation Store Closing =[

Got this on Kotaku and said that PlayStation Store and Sony Styles are closing =[.

They are located in the Metreon in San Francisco, tbh it's one of the reasons I give there every now and then when I visit SF since I'm from Berkeley. It's weird because I visited the store with my friends today and read this as soon as I got home.

Sony sold the lease to Metreon to Westfield and now Sony will not renew the lease for both stores. The Metreon was once also the home of the Discovery store. Ugh this really sucks, for 10 years it was home to midnight launches, special events, etc. In the store me and my friend are called the SingStar Guys since we played SingStar on their gigantic Bravia.

I'll truly miss this store, cool staff, set up and everything. A visit to Frisco won't be the same.

Can't do links since I'm writing this on my phone.

There are a couple stores in the Chicago area, I wonder if these will be affected as well.

Sad about the Metreon. I saw several movies there including some Lord of the Rings movies... The theater there is awesome.

The Microsoft store doesn't bother me but I'll never shop there because I stopped buying Microsoft products in the early 90's.

Default Store closing PROOF ps3 is doomed in 08'.

Rent is the #1 reason for businesses to end leases, close shop or move to another location.

I see no point in these type of stores. I don't have to drive to Nike town for Nike shoes. I can get shoes anywhere else.
