Default Paradigm, Klipsch or Polk?

... Can't decide which way to go ... looking at the Paradigm millenia 300's, Klipsch xf-48's, and the Polk VM30's .. style and price DOES matter, but so do quality... My AVR is list below... which way should I lean and why? ... (so far Paradigm is winning da race with polk on it's heels ....klipsch is not dat far behind, though )

I have Klipsch reference series rf-5, rc-64, rs-3's and I have been very happy with it! I get rave reviews from guests, so audition what is right for you, but Klipsch gets my vote.

klipsch sounds awesome (heard them @ bestbuy) .. but they're a little bulky .. datz my only issue with them .. but out of all my options .. the xf-48 are the only ones with build in amps .. so they' get points for that ...

My setup is similar to yours, VSX-03, Samsung 56" DLP, I love it! I'm using a Parasound 5 channel for amplification, I'll get some pics up soon.

My most recent speaker setup is a nice, simple, clean one & sounds damn good. Polk TSi series : CS10/20 center & TSi 100rears or surrounds/front?/200rears or surronds fronts/300fronts/400/500 where ever they work for you? The 300's on are all floor standers'. Add your sub of choice & your good to go!!

No mine doesn't dim, but I do have all my equiptment plugged into 2 Monster power HTS-5100's. Who knows how well they work, but I got both for 250.00 and they look cool!

I love the Pioneer, I had the Integra 6.8 and I was getting some sort of popping sound from speakers, it was very faint, but enough to drive me crazy. I couldn't ever get through to CS after leaving several messages, so a new receiver wasn't an option. I'm glad they didn't call me back I love this receiver!

I agree they all make great speakers. I have or have had lots of setup's. I have never been so impressed by speakers that didn't cost atleast $6,000 (full 7.1 setup) then the new TSi Polks. That's bold I know , but all I have are my ears...

I had Rti's a couple years ago, and they were very nice. I thought they were a little flat sounding for some reason, but Polk does make nice speakers. I've never heard the Paradigms, nobody carries them where I live.

if your going to spend that much on the paradigm 300's look at the studio 100's v5 they will blow away the 300's, i actually just auditioned both the 300's and the studio 100's, the main problem with the millennia series is they lack dynamics and bottom end, they are a lifestyle speaker and not a real audiophile speaker, your really paying all that money for the look and not the sound.

The new studio series are pretty much the last years signature series, they are using the cabinet from the speakers.

If you're goin for that type of look based on the one's you've mentioned also check out Definitive Technology - Mythos STS SuperTowers.

The only ones I've heard are the Millenia's but if you say Style and Price matter, they kind of all look similar with the grills on with the but I think the Millenias look most stylish followed by the Mythos, Polks & Klipsch coming in last. Don't know about prices since I'm Canadian and never looked these up before but the Polks I think were a little over $2K here but that was a while back- Never checked on the Paradigms.

Go with what your ears tell you to do. It is really as easy as that. I prefer Paradigm but I am not the one who will be listening at your house.

the studio 100 are a little bulky and wife Un-friendly (ger my drift) .. but you're right about the Millenia 300's .. just read a review that said that you have to get the Seismic 12" sub (which is almost $2K .. WAYYY out of my budget) to compensate for the dynamics and low's (or lack of..) ..... I am wiling to scrifice a little quality to plz da little lady, though ...
