Default Pirates of the Carribbean at Best Buy and Circuit City

Just in case nobody knows about this

POTC 1&2 are advertised on the both Best Buy and Circuit City ads here in the U.S.

Best Buy has a promotion of save $10 when you buy both POTC

and Circuit City is offering a $15 interactive DVD-ROM card.

If you believe that these movies will sell out, I usually order them online like Monday at midnight or early Tuesday morning and then I choose store-pick up that way you can go to your nearest BB or CC and are guarunteed a copy(that is if your local BB or CC has them in stock)

or you could order them at amazon cheaper, but at least it will be in your hands that day, personally i`d take the bb cash off offer at least then you don`t have to go back there to spend your money like cc ,but to each his/her own.

I had them ordered through Amazon.com, but I canceled since I can get them for the same price on Tuesday at Best Buy with this deal, instead of waiting till the end of the week.

You can always get a rain-check if they are out. I plan to go Tuesday a little before lunchtime....I'm sure there will be plenty.

I ordered my copy of CotBP from Buy.com a day or two ago using Google Checkout for the first time to get ten bucks off. I used the 'economy shipping' too, so it may take a while, but I'm happy its on the way.

When I used to work at bestbuy, they used to price match online prices.

A few months ago I tried to get Best Buy to match the price on the best buy website. The manager said they couldn't do that saying, "our online store is like a costco, its just a big warehouse, we don't do price matches from the website".
I pointed out to her I could just order it online for in store pickup and get the online price, so that didn't make any sense. Her response, "you can do that if you want". Some good customer service there.

I have two friends that currently work for Best Buy. They said that my local Bestbuy will only price match local B&M stores, they said that Bestbuy doesn't match Club or online prices.

I pre-ordered long ago at Amazon. I saw the $10 off Best Buy deal yesterday which makes it about the same price as Amazon with 2-day shipping. I was going to cancel Amazon this morning (no computer at home currently) thinking I would def. have them in hand tomorrow morning but Amazon had them preparing to ship this morning so probably Wed. I guess.

I really think they should have released these last week. All those awesome reviews would build up to the P3 release and people wouldn't have to scramble so much to watch them before P3 opens.

Looks like I better get to Best Buy as quickly as possible. Don't want to show up to a sold out bin. Ten bucks off, thats sweet. Another reason they will dominate.

By the look of the Hype and demand, I think these discs individually could outsell Casino Royale.
I'll definitely be at Best Buy tomorrow morning to pick these up

I work at Best Buy and have been an employee since 2000. There policy is that they can price match their own website. This is about 2 yours old, before they use to say no. Now BBY corporate has approved the stores to price match the website since it is there own Company and makes no sense in not taking in the business for the same Company. Also they don't price match any websites or warehouse stores like, Costco, and Sam's Club.

Best buy is running the same instore promo, so there is no need to ask for a price match... Just buy both movies and save $10... I will be buying this tomorrow as well.

You know, yesterday, none of the Best Buys, or Circuit Cities near me even had them in stock. In fact Best Buy didn't even have it in their system.

Frustrating, looks like buying it yesterday cost me an extra twenty for the two movies (Virgin Megastore had it, like 3 pairs when I went in).

Hmm, posted a thread on that but it appears to have disappeared.

The best buy in Manhattan had about 100 copies of each on Tuesday...
