Comcast and the nfl network - Blu-ray Forum

Looks like they will be dumping the channel as of May 1st, so which service is better dish network or direct tv? And does anyone have the hd turbo package?

Unreal that comcast would fall on it's own sword with this, they stand to lose a huge portion of subscribers if this is allowed to go down!

And no Verizon has failed to realize that there is more to Massachusetts then Boston like most other things in this state. They cant even tell me if they are planning to have fios available in my area, at the rate Verizon moves we will never have fios here so it's not a option unfortunately.

I have DishNetwork with the HD Turbo and I love it. The only reason I would think of switching to DirectTV is for the NFL Package.

Hm i thought they both carried the NFL package? Why does the NFL allow this exclusivity crap, it should be on ever cable, sat or fiber service out there! That would be more money then direct tv is even worth, makes no sense!

The whole NFL Network and Big10 Network issue with Comcrap is the whole reason I dump them for DirecTv 2 years ago.....I pay less for alot more HD channels on top of that. Couldn't be happier.....

how many ppl are really going to switch from comcast to a dish or direct tv b/c the nfl network is available? seriously, think about it.

I work for Rogers in Canada, we get lots of complaints and the odd cancelation because we do not carry TSN2. If TSN2 was showing something I really wanted to see, I'd switch cable companies in a heart-beat... but for now I don't need to see the B hockey games and the raptors lose on a daily basis.

alot..lol.. My friend works for directv and every new customer he does, they always mention one of the reason was because cable doesn't carry the NFL network.

Actually a fair amount, i just talked to someone i know at comcast to see what the deal was and said they have been cancelling scripts all day long. This is big patriots territory so yes a lot of business will be lost if comcast axes the channel.

Direct Tv payed top money for it.. lol.. it's exclusively for a few more years. and cable companies suck because they wont carry NFL network because they want the nfl package..
