Oh, I have no doubt we'll see it, I'm just not going to hold my breath. Look how long it took Spielberg to release ROTLA & E.T. on DVD.

Yeah, is a shame. One of the many things I am so desperately wanting to see on blu-ray.

2009 would be the 65th anniversary of D-Day

That's where I'd put my money, especially because by then there should be a good market penetration.

That's a bit far away, especially since the titles are mentioned as "coming soon" some times.

Also, the holiday season is a bigger mark for Easy Company of the 101st, since that's when they were in Bastogne, where they proved just how great they were.

The video industry revolves around anniversaries, things they can make an event out of and "soon" is relative

Don't forget Band of Brothers: Pacific or whatever it'll be called should be airing then as well.

The creators of BoB will be making a 10-part miniseries about the WWII in the Pacific. It won't be called Band of Brothers: Pacific, or anything pertaining to Band of Brothers. This is because BoB was originally a book written about Easy Company by Stephen E. Ambrose. But HBO will be sure to use the fact that the creators are the same, and I'm glad they are.

I still think D-Day 2009 is a bit far off. I know "coming soon" is relative, but it just seems a bit far off for them to have announced it. I would see other Sopranos seasons before that date, and they haven't announced any other than season 1 (not saying Sopranos has anything to do w/ D-Day, just using that date). Who knows, though.

That's what I thought because I couldn't find anything about the mini-series.
