you can play any PS1 and a few PSN ( pixel junk eden , pixeljunk monsters )and 1 PS3 game ( lair ) on your PSP thru hte internet from anywhere ..

some games will have some kind of interactive connectivity ( currently only resistance 3 really , but more games are promised this year to do so including madden 2010 )

so with my ps3 left on I can connect wirelessly to it and play games. I have a couple of games on the ps3 such as the crash bandicoot games which the kids wanted me to download. Can I not just transfer those onto the psp ? If I leave a game in the drive can I play this over the t'internet ?

Well basically its like the PS1 games are like PS3/PSP compatible so if you have a PS1 game from the PSN store just get a usb cable and transfer it.

Most (if not all) ps1 game can be played directly on the psp. You can also set your ps3 to allow power up from internet connection which means that you can via your psp via the web open your ps3 and play your ps1 game or some psn game in remote play

you dont leave your ps3 on .. there is a setting that you check to allow remote start .. basically you start remote play on your PSP and hte PS3 then turns on ... yes the games that are playable on the PSP can be tranfered .. jsut go into the PSP store and DL it off your Download list .. if its playable on the PSP itll be lit not dulled out ...
you can only play PS1 discs thru the PS3 and LAIR ... no ther discs will worjk

I like the remote play function, cause when i am in a different state or even in a different country I can access my PS3 and watch all of the movies and play some of the games that I have on my harddrive. Very convieniant feature.

Also if you have Wi-Fi on your PSP you can access the Playstation Store on your PSP and just download from there for PS1 games or PSP demos.

Didn't realise you could play Lair on the PSP!

If all PS1 games are compatible with the PSP could I pop in the Final Fantasy VII discs into my PS3 and play them remotely on my PSP?

I believe that was in 1 of the updates for either the game itself update or an actual update through the PS3 for Lair.

Heh you wish, its only if you buy the full game from the Playstation Store.
