I love it. One of my favorite Troma films.

For people wondering: It's from the same people who made "The Toxic Avenger." So, you can imagine what "Poultrygeist" is like.

In all honesty, "Poultrygeist" is a horror-comedy-satire-musical. It's very well put-together considering its production house. It's a pretty awesome social commentary, and it's not trying to take itself seriously, so you shouldn't expect to, either.

It comes recommended from me.

yeah I know it wasnt trying to be serious, that much was obvious lol. it had a few funny scenes but overall it wasnt my cup of tea. the humor was just too disgusting lol.

Haha, yeah, it's definitely its own unique blend. That's Troma for you: obviously fake gore, sexual acts while covered with said gore, etc.

I was very happy when it was released on DVD. It's a limited printing, I think around 20,000 or so. Which is kind of a lot for a Troma release. But it's Troma's most critically acclaimed release out of the hundreds of movies the production house has put together. It was released to a small selection of festivals and screens in 2006, and Lloyd Kaufman (producer, writer, director, actor of the film) toured it around the world at speaking engagements, international festivals, and also because of Troma fans. Finally, they released it to DVD.

I'm just a big Troma fan. I consider it a arthouse kind of company, and "Poultrygeist" is their best yet. Not everyone's cup of tea, for sure; but I think it's worth a once-through for film fans So, I'm glad you checked it out!

have yet to see that, but I'd saw my fave Troma movie is 'Citizen Toxie' - 'Poultrygeist' is funny but could have been trimmed by about fifteen minutes.
