Default What Percentage of your income (after taxes) do you spend on BDs?

I tallied it up a little bit and it looks like I'm at roughly 25% of my income the last few months has gone toward purchasing blu-rays. Some people collect coins or baseball cards, I have been collecting BDs.

Just wondering how much y'all are addicted?

I never was a big DVD collector. Once I got into blu-rays, I been buying like crazy. The wife has been going crazy with purchases from blockbuster 2 for $25 deal. Mostly chick flicks but whatever. more for my collection.

I used to buy CD's every tuesday back in highschool. I don't buy much CD's... maybe one every 6 months. Right now I buy Blu-rays like I did CD's!

Strange as it may seem I don't start counting in percentages of my income. I buy something when I like it then I don't when nothing new catches my fancy. But I would never say, damn I can't buy this cause I already spent the % planned for Blurays or Damn I must buy something cause my % has not been reached and it's end of the month.

You must be well off (or you don't own/rent many BDs). If you made $3,000,000 and only bought 1 BD a year at $30.00, that's .001%.

Can we be friends please?

I'd rather not partake in your marketing firms research.

from December to March, I would say a good 10-15% of my income went to Blu Rays. It really was an addiction at one point. I was buying movies I didnt even want on DVD! I have since slowed down considerably. Only bought a few movies last month. June is going to be very expensive for me though...

these days its more about saving money for home audio upgrades and that pretty new 52'' Z-series Sony that just came out

It absolutely can be. But I'll bet it's neither and I'm just picking apart your post because I'm bored.

hc666- not surprisingly, I think I've seen similar threads here before about the exact same topic.

Then I think maybe BOTH are true (i.e., you have too much money, and not enough BDs!)

In any event, I'll bite on the poll: I estimate I've spent about 0.5% so far this year for my player and BDs. I don't have a "BD budget," and I don't think that's what the OP is asking us for.
