Put "neighbors" into my XONE blu player and it gave me previews for current movies (straight outta compton, ted 2) and now im stuck on the universal loading screen for 10 minutes. never knew the disc or previews would update online that like, may have to do with bd live or something. either way im pretty disappointed. i guess ill watch movies on vudu now.

Should be able to:
http://support.xbox.com/en-AU/xbox-o...u-ray-settings Blu-ray settings -> Enable BD Live to "improve" Blu-ray playback This setting allows access to additional features and content through the BD Live service. "Improve", my a**... |

The Xbox One is a terrible Blu Ray Player and this is coming from someone who is an Xbox Fan first. The Xbox One includes Blu Ray movie playback as an afterthought. It treats Blu Ray playback as nothing more than an add on app which is part of the reason you're experiencing problems. $40 Stand alone players are more stable for Blu Ray Playback than the xbox one. I still use my original 2007 80gb Backwards compatible PS3 for all my Blu Ray playback needs and it's never let me down. I'd get a different player.

I sometimes shut my internet off when I load a disc in my blu-ray player. Perhaps you do the same.

The easy answer to this question is to get a dedicated stand-alone BD player. Relying on a video game system to play your BDs is kinda dumb if you ask me. Video game consoles are more geared towards driving video game graphic engines with decent fps. Not so much playing a video disc that is its own OS.

LOL!! no kidding, i am on my 2nd replacement xbox one and playing games this system continues to lock up on me. Forces me to reboot the dang console. As for a BR player, no movies failed or locked on me yet. Just my game; Madde 2016 (not playing online / just franchise mode).
