The easy answer to this question is to get a dedicated stand-alone BD player. Relying on a video game system to play your BDs is kinda dumb if you ask me. Video game consoles are more geared towards driving video game graphic engines with decent fps. Not so much playing a video disc that is its own OS.

In the case of the Xbox One you are partially correct. However to say all consoles fall into this category is unequivocally false. The PS3 has been regarded as one of the best players on the market since it's introduction in 2006 by countless Home Theater Magazines and websites. It's consistently been a Top pick amongst professional reviewers, critics, and enthusiasts alike and I'd happily but it up against any standalone player on the market, including the Oppo's.
