Worst Star Trek film is Part 6 The Undiscovered Country. Its apparently way too easy to frame Captian Kirk for Murder.

Nemisis isnt that bad, neither is Final Frontier.

thanks for the quick early input. i'll let the poll sit for two days, then the winner will lodge themselves at #11, get dropped from the next list, and we'll keep picking worsts until only two remain.

I voted for Star Trek: The Motion Picture because, for a Star Trek film, there was very little motion in it.

I'm a little surprised to see "Insurrection" running neck and neck with it for worst film though. I thought the "Final Frontier" was far worse. In fact, that will be my #10.

Whoever voted for Star Trek (2009) never saw Nemesis. That movie was just plain awful.

I loved Nemesis too.
[Show spoiler]The death of Data
is a key turning point in the Star Trek saga and really personalized it for me. Plus, I thought the FX were great and the villain Shinzon was formidable and menacing.

Nemesis was the worst for me. I loved TNG, but this was a disgrace to that franchise.

That 20-minute scene in the original where the ship is just flying through that massive thing, certainly the point was to show the massiveness, but that was brutally insistent. Just terrible. Although, I thought the Vyger(?) thing was pretty creative.

Oh wow....theres three now! Hmm maybe its not just me? Star Trek IX should not even be in this poll because its not a Star Trek film in any way shape or form other than name. Now having taken that non Star Trek film off the list I would say 5 was the worst. Oh and I dont count TNG as real Star Trek either.......
The only Star Trek I know or aknowledge ran from 1966-1969 on television and films that lasted from 1979-1991! The didnt sign off in 1991 for no reason.....

Alot of people are saying this but no one explains why. I haven't really watched the film since I was a child in the 80's but will watch again when I get the chance. I remember it was a earth satellite doing things and I thought is was ok. I have to rent it and watch it again though.

The worst film is Generations. Lame death scene for Kirk. He doesnt even get to die on the bridge of a ship.

But the worst is the giant plothole called the Nexus. Picard is in the Nexus and Guinan tells him time has no meaning in the nexus. He can go anywhere at anytime. So Picard chooses to go back to the stupid rock planet with no weapons, just a chubby Kirk to help him. Instead he should have gone back to like two days before that when Dr Soran was still on his ship and then he could have just thrown him into the brig. Then he wouldnt have had to bring Kirk into it at all and the Enterprise D would not be destroyed.

Plus the movie had recycled effects shots from Star Trek 6. Lame.

It makes "what does God need with a starship?" seem like Shakespeare.
