Default Universal Annoucments What Do You Want Next?

It appears for the first quarter of 09 that universal is releasing a lot of the titles they had previously released on HD-DVD. What titles that where released by uni on HD-DVD do you want on Blu-Ray next.

Something better than what they are releasing... where is Far From Heaven, Brokeback Mountain, Lost in Translation, The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and other films that were already released on HD DVD.

It seems to me Universal is laggin behind. So far I only own Casino and The Thing from Universal.

If you live in the US, "Gladiator" is a DreamWorks (AKA, Paramount) release.

i think it's good they do the hddvds first. many fence sitters didnt get those titles and have waiting as much as 2 years in some cases. Plus, they are redoing all of them with lossless audio and avc in most cases + extended version of Kong...w00t!

Kong is/will be a shining example why space & bandwidth was critical and why i'm glad HDDVD died.

I think uni dug the self a real hole with HD-DVD. They threw so much of there back catalog behind the format cause for a long time it was just them alone who supported HD-DVD.

Now it's being hold against them. As movie fans we now expect them to deliver the same curtsy as HD-DVD received with Blu-Ray. They gambled and lost so they should pay up and i think there starting to realize that now.

Paramount payed there dues so should uni. Let's hope 2009 will be a bumper year for great uni titles.

Timecop. They are releasing Street Fighter on Blu, but they don't release Timecop, which already had a HDDVD release? Sigh...
