Default Star Trek ranking #4: vote for the WORST remaining ST film

a whopping 36 people chose to oust ST:TMP (noooo!) last round, while 28 fired off at ST:Insurrection. no other film got more than 8% of the vote, so i am eliminating both of those films.

And, as a disclaimer, I am a fan of ST. "Worst" is in all-caps so people won't accidentally vote for their favorite. There are only two Trek films I actually dislike, and they're both already out (frontier and insurrection).

The story so far...

Blu-Ray.com user-dictated Star Trek ranking

8. Star Trek: Insurrection
9. Star Trek: The Motion Picture
10. Star Trek: Nemesis
11. Star Trek V: The Final Frontier

Come on ST 09. Die already.

Reasons previously stated.

You cannot get rid of Insurrection. The TMP people may of loved it and voted to keep it in till the end.

How is it that we're voting for the 4th worst, and you've already eliminated 4 movies?

I voted for Generations by the way.

the # in the title merely refers to the poll, not the ranking. jeepers. people complain when they hear there's going to be more than one poll, then they complain when i accelerate things when it's obvious what's being knocked off next.

I enjoy Generations for it's story/message. Although it misses the mark in several spots, in general, it has some great scenes.

Voyage Home to me was just silly. Sure, it's a fun movie, but do we need a major Star Trek film devoted to saving the whales? Really?

STIII was a complete let down on many, many levels. It was a toss up between Voyage Home and ST III for me.

Generations will be marked by me, but later on. Either way, I suppose it doesn't matter if it gets taken off this time since it will eventually need to be take off.

I think it's amazing no one has voted for First Contact on any of these polls.

Generations is my favorite. I'm not much of a Trek fan though. I did like the "passing of the torch" from Kirk to Picard. Plus Data with the emotions chip was hilarious.

"I hate this....it is revolting!"

"Another?"

"Please!"

I remember not thinking much of GENERATIONS the first time I saw it but it really grew on me-- more than most Trek's. I think it's the best of the NG
trek's behind FIRST CONTACT (which it turn is the 2nd best Trek movie behind STAR TREK II)

alas, I think it's going away on this thread

Exactly, there were some fun moments, I love when
[Show spoiler] Picard goes into Nexus.

I thought the movie had a great message - and a fun space battle.

I love the look on Picard's face when that guys says, "They say, time is the fire in which we burn."

It's not til later that you find out why he is affected so much by this.

Don't know, I can understand both sides of why people like or hate this movie (the girl Klingnons's were just stupid) - but I liked the epic idea behind the bad guys' reasoning for doing what he was doing - and relating that as a personal journey for both Picard and Kirk. Very well done.

To me, it is not so much that I dislike the movie, it is that I like others more.

So far the only thing I disagree with is Nemesis should have been the 1st one out, but overall spot on. My new vote is for Generations.
