Six Sense was great. Signs was alright. But, everything else was just rubbish. Ok Unbreakable had some potential to be good and fell short.

Oh boy has he gone down!

All his movies follow the same scheme: suspenseful situations, unexplained events, a final twist!

No wonder Robot Chicken makes fun of him all the time...

I liked Sixth Sense, but Unbreakable, Signs, the Village... same story, different situations...

I disagree. I have enjoyed all of his movies except for The Happening. The Happening should never have been made.

I'd say he went downhill when he made Lady in the Water. I really enjoyed The Village and Signs.

I've enjoyed all of his movies.. which is why I still have not figured out how The Happening came to be. It just seems so unlike anything he'd do. It's like Tim Burton turned into Michael Bay.

in my opinion, each release was worse than his previous. definitely not going in the right direction. the happening and lady in the water were dreadful.

The only real turkey he has made is Lady In The Water, which had no business being anything but a tv movie of the week. Sixth Sense was a masterpiece and Unbreakable was at least a fresh perspective on superheroes.

i greatly enjoyed sixth sense, signs, and unbreakable. had no desire to see the village, and i thought lady in the water was a great idea but poorly carried out, same with the happening. i really applaud his efforts to try and bring unique ideas to a film industry riddled with sequels, remakes, and other profiteering crap. if Night could try to continue with an unbreakable trilogy i think he might just be able to keep his face above water.

I thought Signs was a great movie. Not much of a fan of his other work though.

Sixth Sense
Signs
and Unbreakable are amazing movies...definitely some of my favorites...

Lady In The Water really enjoyed, but no where near as good as any of the three above

The Village- watched it once, hated on it but it grew on me. It is ok, nothing i would buy, but if its on TV i could watch it.

The Happening- not terrible, but far from good. It was a disappointment.

Default His movies do make you think

Unlike most I hae enjoyed his movies, as I do get the point he is trying to make. I believe that if The Happening was his first movie most people would be talking about how good it is not how bad it is. When I first watched it I did not get it at all, now I have showed it to others and have seen it 5 times and it gets better each time, now I get it all the way.

It may not be as good as Sixth Sence but I do rank it close, before you trash me remember everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

sixth sense was good but i can't watch it now. once you know the twist then watch for all the hidden stuff its boring. i liked unbreakable but i'm a comic guy so i likes that. the village was horrible and i ruined the ending 30 minutes in when i called what the twist would be. my wife likes lady in the water. i thought it was ok. and the happening was laughably bad.

Shyamalan hasn't gone down hill. His technique and material is always unique and interesting. It is the fact that so many people have come to expect his style that they no longer consider it as exciting and unique.

Personally, I have enjoyed EVERY SINGLE FILM HE HAS MADE. Some are obviously weaker than others ('Unbreakable' and 'The Happening' could have been devised better in my opinion). However, they are still all highly enjoyable for me. Even 'Lady In The Water' is good if you are open minded enough to accept the fairytale approach to the story.

At this point he needs to shake things up a bit and step out of his own genre.
