Thats like asking if Bluray is better than DVD....give us some more direction and we can possibly answer this one.

Budget, room size for throw distance, size screen you want, etc.....the more info the better the answer.

Would this also probably not be the best place for this post as its the front projection forum.

I would say the Samsung 61/67 A750 - I am slightly partial though

They are well reviewed by CNET and the LED light wheel trumps those that need a bulb replacement..

I wasn't directly able to compare them to anything else (it looked better than the mitsubishi diamond series in the showroom, but that really doesn't tell you anything)

Not even sure if they are still available though, I just did a quick search and it looks like its not even available on amazon..

Is Mitsubishi the only company producing rptv's now?

No, Samsung is still in the market. JVC as well I believe. I hope some company will produce quaility RPTVs'. I would not want to go under 60'' for my living room tv and all the flat panels that are over 60" are expensive as hell

This one is not bad. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218064150324

I wonder how it will perform. Looks good from the specs( 600Hz Subfield Motion refresh rate).

I can second the sammie LED, but, i too am a little biased. If you have a Conn's near you, that's where i picked up my 61" for $999. I suggest going to www.avsforum.com and read all the pros and cons of the set in their owners thread before buying though.

Back when I was in the Market for a rear projection I did some research and found the Sony KDS-60A3000 was one of the higher rated displays. I do not know if you can still find any but it has all the right features. 1" smaller than you were looking though. I have never been a fan of Samsung but others here like them alot. Good luck.

Yeah, those Sony's mentioned above are really awesome if you can find one. Several people on here own them, so maybe they'll chime in with cost and availability.

I've sceen them and they're nice but, I want a tv that's about 65" and has the HDMI 1.3 chip. Those are nice but, they don't meet my spec requirements.
