Default Microsoft files lawsuit against Immersion

Seems M$ is deciding to be a BIG BABY by throwing it's rattle out of the pram and crying about this: http://www.ps3center.net/story-606.html

Changed the thread title so it's clearer how this thread is different to the other.

Immersion is only wrong if they signed an exclusive agreement... If they didn't, than they can sell the rumble feature to whomever they choose

Whatever happens, I think they will still end up with the rumble.

in honesty, i couldn't see immersion offering exclusive rumble support. they're just doing what they always do. sue someone and try and block something for as long as possible.

Heres what Immersion has to say about that.
Quote:
Immersion believes that it is not obligated under the sublicense agreement with Microsoft to make any payment to Microsoft relating to the conclusion of its litigation with Sony Computer Entertainment. Immersion intends to defend this lawsuit vigorously.

Not sure this crap will ever end. Maybe these big corps can put their money to better use? Maybe find a cure for cancer - aids - feed the starving kids.

Too right, but if you think about it. The PS3 has Folding@Home.

Assinine responses. Seriously, I wish the gamers would realize that we all benefit from competition. Say what you will, I want MS and Sony to succeed. If one does better, the other has the power to respond with more. This competition benefits all gamers and forces the companies to at least spend more money on R&D.

Furthermore, let's not kid ourselves, both Sony and MS have made some serious mistakes in this round of the contest. And if there is one winner, then we all lose, so if you're going to place your hopes somewhere, then place them in the camp that's developing games in a timely fashion for all platforms.

If the agreement MS paid for doesn't allow this, then how are they being a "Big Baby". The agreement needs to be honored. I guess no one would have a problem if their mortgage company went against a signed document and doubled your interest reat even though it was supposed to be fixed. You would want them to honor the agreement.
