Denon readies HD AVR's - Price Ouch!!

First two units are seperates of course AVP-A1HD AV - THX Ultra2 certified pre amplifier/ POA-A1HD - THX Ultra2 certified power amplifier then the integrated rcvr AVR-4308 - Integrated receiver...not exactly entry level price points, now I don't mind spending good money on seperates or a good receiver but, this is a bit much for even my budget for Denon, don't get me wrong Denon is great equipment; I just haven't been a fan of the sound for some reason though I'm sure Yamaha's flagship HD reciever will be much the same price point....I'd love see and hear either one of them though...soon.

I hear you...of course they'll come down...but the flagship units never reach entry level price points...

I just bought my Denon a few months ago with the plan to wait until they release a sub $1000 AVR with DTS-MA and TrueHD. It looks like I'm going to have to wait a bit longer. This is how Denon opperates. Even as HDMI was taking over, they only put in on their flagship models until last year.

The 2808 will be out in September and will have Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD decoding as well as auto lip-sync correction with HDMI 1.3. I haven't seen the retail price for the 2808.
The 3808 will retail for $1600. But my last three Denon receivers, (3805, 2807 and the 3806) I've always been able to get them for at least 30% off the retail price.

I have the AVR-887, which is equivalent to the 2307 minus a few features. Once it gets down to that level (about 100w/channel) then I'll pick one up and sell my current AVR to my dad.
