Default Does it matter?

I dont see the point in spending $1,000 more to get an LED or LCD Hd TV. I think thats kinda dumb seeing as I have a 26" Sony Bravia.

If you're happy with your 26" then more power to you. Most people on this site would agree though, that when it comes to your main HT display-bigger is better for overall PICTURE QUALITY.

I agree. Go bigger and it dont have to be LED.

I suppose it's a "blessing", and probably a definition of happiness, to be satisfied with what you have. But...it sure is nice to have a big, high quality TV to fully appreciate the virtues of Blu-ray and other high quality video sources, as well as increase the impact and immerse yourself in what you are watching. My father-in-law is quite satified with his 26" TV; my "minimum requirement for happiness" is at least 65".

Thumbs up H d t v

I agree with Grand Bob. I love all of the Christmas programs available in High Def this year ! I just retired in April, and am having the time of my life puttering around the house and watching my 50" Panny HDTV ! The HOLIDAY music on the Sirius channels is wonderful on my Onkyo 7.1 AV system ! I am one happy camper and am enjoying what I have !!! * *
And, yes, as you can tell, I now have a lot of time on my hands........

Go big... Go LCD...

To truly experience what HD video quality has to offer, you need at least a 42" screen. Anything smaller, the only difference between BD and DVD is some colour improvement. Clarity between formats starts to become really apparent at 36".

Congratulations! You're living my dream life! I've got at least five more years of riding submarines to get there.

You're living the dream life of many too. Riding submarines for living sounds like fun. And you have all the time to read.

Well, the first time is fun. The next 300 or so start weighing you down. But yes, there is plenty of time to read! Ha!
