If you're happy with your 26" then more power to you. Most people on this site would agree though, that when it comes to your main HT display-bigger is better for overall PICTURE QUALITY.

I suppose it's a "blessing", and probably a definition of happiness, to be satisfied with what you have. But...it sure is nice to have a big, high quality TV to fully appreciate the virtues of Blu-ray and other high quality video sources, as well as increase the impact and immerse yourself in what you are watching. My father-in-law is quite satified with his 26" TV; my "minimum requirement for happiness" is at least 65".

I agree with Grand Bob. I love all of the Christmas programs available in High Def this year ! I just retired in April, and am having the time of my life puttering around the house and watching my 50" Panny HDTV ! The HOLIDAY music on the Sirius channels is wonderful on my Onkyo 7.1 AV system ! I am one happy camper and am enjoying what I have !!!

To truly experience what HD video quality has to offer, you need at least a 42" screen. Anything smaller, the only difference between BD and DVD is some colour improvement. Clarity between formats starts to become really apparent at 36". |
