I honestly found that the use of an EQ in my HT for tapes and Lp's really
makes a difference. Of course, with 5.1, or Bluray and HDTV - it's wired in such a way that the EQ does not function. I use my Pana 310A as a very good CD player thru the EQ.(2 CH) ( I love to fiddle with the digital sound of CD's boosting this and lessening that. {bass/midrange}) The Sammy player (Bluray)is flat(no EQ) It would not work anyway because EQ's only process 2 channels. Q: I love recording on Metal Tape. CD's on to Metal is quite good. After I added the EQ in 2005, I can no longer record decently. I tried to default the EQ recording flat. But sound is not good enough I just can't think this one through. Please give me some input short of disconnecting all cables to record. - - thanks.
