Default More good news from Spielberg!

It sounds like Steven Spielberg has made sure that another big title will be coming to Blu-ray form Paramount. According to Paramount executive Rob Moore, Steven Spielberg wants the fourth Indiana Jones film to be available on Blu-ray, so Indiana Jones IV will be released on both formats, as well as the first three movies, when they decide to release them.

It's a foregone conclusion

It's a Spielberg directed movie, therefore exempt, and so are the first 3

Do you really think they WOULDN'T be offering an Indy 4-pack with Indy 4?

no link its a rumor......as far as i am concerned it is a rumor since no evidence supportiing it to be true. although i really want this news to be true....

Cool

He has made it abundantly clear he supports the blu format, and we are getting CE3K, so if its rumor its a strong one.

Paramount press release:

Quote:
Paramount Home Entertainment will issue new releases day and date as well as catalog titles exclusively on HD DVD. Today’s announcement does not include films directed by Steven Spielberg as his films are not exclusive to either format.
Any Spielberg directed film. Past or future.

As you must realize, the real story must be somewhat grander if Paramount was forced to put that in such a monumental press release.

umm, not to ruin the parade but Steven Spielberg dosent make the call on Indy. It would be George Lucas hence LFL owns the films and paramount just distributes . I am sure Spielberg has a voice and a important one but not the main one. though releaseing all togther sounds likely. But might want to hear from the Ranch on this one.
