When viewing BDs mastered at 1080 24p, putting on the Motion Enhancer usually results in undesirable effects. (I'm set to Auto 1 btw). However, when viewing BDs (such as music concerts) mastered at 1080 60i, putting on the Motion Enhancer doesn't seem to have the same problems. In fact, I'm wondering if there is any change at all.
My only thought is that the difference has something to do with the fact that the ME uses interpolation and that going from 24 fps to 120 (a 5x jump) will result in more "wierdness" than when going from 60 to 120 (only a 2x jump). What do you think? |
